Underground cable installation "electronic ID card"
On June 28, 2012, the intelligent upgrade project "Digital Ground Identification System" of Xiamen Electric Power Bureau, undertaken by Yili Technology Company, a subsidiary of Nanrui Group, was officially launched and put into operation. This project combines IoT technology to install 1000 ground labels in the northeast area of Xiamen Island, which can effectively manage and regulate underground cable information, provide real-time information and rapid positioning for on-site inspection and implementation of underground cables, improve the operational level of power enterprises, and improve energy efficiency.
Cable entry construction is the direction of urban modernization development. Due to management and construction needs, it is often necessary to maintain underground cables and cable corridors, as well as excavate the ground. At present, the existing distribution GIS management system is no longer able to meet the needs of detection and maintenance. Due to the inability to accurately locate the cable path, it is impossible to quickly and accurately locate the fault point in the event of a cable fault, delaying repair time. Meanwhile, in the process of road construction, various accidents are common due to blind excavation, even leading to major accidents such as power cables being cut off and causing casualties.
The intelligent upgrade project "Digital Ground Identification System" of Xiamen Electric Power Bureau, undertaken by Yili Technology, effectively solves the above problems. The project adopts a digital ground identification system independently developed by Yili Technology, combined with mobile GIS technology and GPS, ultra-high frequency RFID electronic label technology, consisting of ground labels, portable devices (tablets, PDAs), intelligent terminals, etc.
Ground labels are used to record underground cable and pipeline information, while portable devices are used to identify ground labels. During inspection or repair, they can accurately query, locate, and navigate to intelligent terminals, accelerating the maintenance efficiency of cable facility repair work. Intelligent terminals conduct operational analysis based on feedback, predict equipment accidents, prevent and repair them early, effectively reduce the occurrence rate of faults, improve the reliability of power supply, and bring significant economic benefits to enterprises. The system can also be connected to the power GPMS production management system, and through the task list, equipment defect information uploaded by the portable device and task completion status can be viewed. This can further standardize the inspection route of team members, greatly improve the inspection completion rate, and improve the operation level of power enterprises.
